Living Literature presents The Pursuit of Happiness: Immigrants’ Search for the American Dream celebrating Arts & Humanities Month, October, 2007
at the following places and times:
What does it mean to have the right to the pursuit of happiness? What
does happiness mean to new immigrants?
Living Literature has created an exciting and thought provoking 50 minute
readers theatre presentation exploring these questions in essays, novels
excerpts, short stories and poems from the following authors: Sherman
Alexie, Bebe Moore Campbell, Sandra Cisneros, Allen Ginsberg, Langston Hughes,
Frank McCourt, Pat Mora, Dwight Okita, Grace Paley, & R. A. Sasaki.
A brief discussion will follow. Come join the fun!
