Monthly Meetings

Regular meetings of The League of Women Voters South County
are held at Westerly Senior Center, 39 State Street, Westerly, RI 02891.

MEETING DATES

Our local league meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM.

Members of the public who are interested in joining the local league or want to learn more
about its activities are invited to attend any of the regular meetings.

Civic Education Merit Awards

PREVIOUS WINNERS

The Susan B. Wilson Awards honors three Rhode Island educators or teams of educators (preK – 12th grade) whose teaching fulfills one or more of the following criteria:

  • Enriches students' understanding of their civic rights and responsibilities;
  • Encourages students' civic participation;
  • Brings context to pivotal civic events — historic or current — affecting the United States on a national, regional, or local level;
  • Promotes understanding of individuals who play a role in pivotal civic events.

 


The League neither supports nor opposes candidates for office at any level of government.
